and AutoMROtive on a Grand International Stage
Bangkok — Mr. Akanat Promphan, Minister of Energy, presided over the opening ceremony of “Future Mobility Thailand 2026 (FMT 2026) and TyreXpo Asia Bangkok & AutoMROtive 2026,” a major international exhibition showcasing automotive technologies and innovations, tyre industry solutions, aftermarket parts, maintenance services, and future transportation systems. The event aims to position Thailand as a leading hub for modern automotive industries and a regional Mobility Hub in Asia.
The event reflects the rapid transformation of the global automotive industry, driven by the growth of electric vehicles (EVs), smart technologies, digital manufacturing systems, and evolving energy and global supply chain trends. These developments present Thailand with a significant opportunity to become a manufacturing base and business hub for future mobility in the region.
Mr. Akanat Promphan, Minister of Energy, stated: “Thailand is currently undergoing a major transition in both the energy and automotive sectors. The development of clean energy technologies, energy storage systems, and EV infrastructure will play a vital role in strengthening the country’s competitiveness. Future Mobility Thailand 2026 and TyreXpo Asia Bangkok & AutoMROtive 2026 are therefore not merely trade exhibitions, but important platforms connecting government agencies, industrial sectors, investors, and technology developers from around the world to jointly drive the future of the automotive and energy industries in the region.”
The exhibition brings together entrepreneurs, technology manufacturers, EV solution providers, tyre manufacturers, aftermarket parts suppliers, maintenance specialists, and integrated automotive industry solution providers from across the globe. It also creates opportunities for business negotiations, international business matching, and strategic partnerships to expand trade and investment opportunities in future industries.
According to the organisers, Southeast Asia is emerging as one of the world’s fastest-growing automotive and aftermarket markets, supported by increasing vehicle ownership, logistics expansion, the growth of aging vehicle fleets, and the rapid acceleration of the EV market, which is reshaping the entire automotive industry landscape.
Future Mobility Thailand 2026 is positioned as a “Global Marketplace and Global Matching Hub” that connects buyers, sellers, investors, technology manufacturers, and international organizations on a single platform. Meanwhile, TyreXpo Asia Bangkok & AutoMROtive 2026 serves as a key regional platform for the tyre, aftermarket parts, and automotive maintenance industries, highlighting Thailand’s potential as a comprehensive automotive industry hub in Asia.
The event also features the latest innovations and technologies from leading global companies, covering electric drivetrain systems, battery technologies, charging infrastructure, AI solutions, smart manufacturing for automotive production, as well as tire technologies, maintenance solutions, and aftermarket equipment designed for next-generation industries.
FTI Supports the “5I Strategy” to Drive Thai Auto Parts onto the Global Stage
Ms. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, Chairman of the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI), stated that the automotive parts industry remains one of Thailand’s key economic pillars. In 2025, automotive parts exports were valued at approximately THB 300 billion and supported more than 750,000 jobs nationwide. FTI has established its “5I Strategy” under the vision “The New Chapter of Thai Industry,” comprising Intelligent Industry, Innovation & Creative Industry, International Alliance & Network, Industrial Infrastructure Reform, and Inclusive & Sustainable Growth. The strategy aims to strengthen Thai entrepreneurs across 48 industrial groups and 76 provincial industry councils, enabling them to compete effectively in the global market.
Ms. Pimjai stated: “This event directly supports FTI’s I3 strategy — International Alliance & Network. It serves as an important mechanism to help Thai entrepreneurs maintain leadership within the global automotive supply chain and propel Thailand toward becoming a true Global Supply Chain Hub.”
TAPMA Affirms the Strength of Thailand’s Auto Parts Industry — “Transforming, Not Being Replaced”
Mr. Sompol Tanadumrongsak, President of the Thai Auto-Parts Manufacturers Association (TAPMA), said that Thailand currently has more than 2,400 companies operating within the automotive supply chain, supporting over 700,000 workers. At the same time, there are more than 2.2 billion vehicles currently in operation worldwide, creating substantial opportunities for Thai auto parts manufacturers across the aftermarket, EV, next-generation ICE vehicles, and future industries.
“The Thai automotive parts industry is not an industry being replaced — it is an industry transforming toward the future. Future Mobility Thailand 2026 is therefore not just a trade exhibition, but a platform connecting industries, technologies, investments, and Thailand’s future,” Mr. Sompol said.
