Bangkok, 18 May 2026 – The anticipation continues to build for the return of SIRUP, the prominent Neo-soul artist from Japan known for his signature “Sing + Rap” style that seamlessly blends vocals and rap. Adding a major surprise for Thai fans, he has invited JAMES ALYN WEE, a talented Thai-Singaporean pop-rock artist with a uniquely striking voice, to perform as the opening act for “SIRUP ASIA TOUR TURN THE PAGE IN ASIA 2026.” The concert will take place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at LIDO CONNECT HALL 2.
JAMES ALYN WEE shared, “I first discovered SIRUP through a friend’s recommendation and had the chance to listen to his work, especially the track 'Loop.' His vocal tone, production, and overall musical vibe is a very unique emotional connection that I truly love. That was the starting point for us coming together on the song ‘I’m Blessed.’ his style has inspired my own music-making process as well. We exchanged and ideas throughout the production.”
JAMES also expressed immense excitement about opening for SIRUP. The two artists are preparing a live performance of “I’m Blessed,” the track that first showcased their collaborative chemistry back in 2024. In addition, they have lined up several small surprises for fans on concert day.
“Lately, I’ve noticed a growing number of Asian artists releasing English-language tracks, and the music market has become incredibly receptive to this, gaining worldwide recognition," JAMES noted. "As the opening act, I am deeply honored to be a part of this creative journey and to help push the capabilities of Asian artists performing international music to a global audience.
