Results for Q1FY27 (April – June 2026)
Bangkok – July 30, 2026 – Tata Steel (Thailand) declared its quarterly results for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, on July 17, 2026. The Company's profit before tax increased significantly to 524 Mn THB in the April-June 2026 quarter, up from 198 Mn THB in the preceding quarter and 474 Mn THB in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Mr. Anurag Pandey, President and CEO, Tata Steel (Thailand) Public Company Limited stated that “The Company recorded deliveries of 334,000 Tons during the quarter, representing a marginal decline of 2% from the preceding quarter and 1% from the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The decrease was primarily attributable to softer domestic demand for rebar and wire rod products, reflecting the continued weakness in market conditions. Nevertheless, the impact was partially mitigated by stronger export sales, which provided support to overall shipment volumes.”
“The Company's revenue from sales and related services amounted to 6,781 Mn THB for the quarter, representing an increase from the preceding quarter, supported by improved selling prices. On a year-on-year basis, revenue was lower than in the corresponding quarter of the previous year, due to lower average selling prices and reduced sales volumes.”
“Despite the challenging demand environment, the Company reported a profit before tax of 524 Mn THB for the current quarter, compared with a profit of 198 Mn THB in the preceding quarter and 474 Mn THB in the corresponding quarter of the previous year. The improved performance was driven by better product realizations, effective cost management, and sustained operational efficiencies, which more than offset the impact of lower sales volumes. As a result, the Company delivered better profitability both quarter-on-quarter and year-on-year despite continued market uncertainties.”
