Thailand Content Market 2026,
Targeting THB 2 Billion in Trade Value
Bangkok, 20 July 2026 – Mrs. Suphajee Suthumpun, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce, appointed Ms. Banjongjitt Angsusingh, Advisor to the Minister of Commerce, to preside over the opening ceremony of Thailand Content Market 2026 (TCM2026), Thailand's international exhibition and business platform for the content industry. Organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce, in collaboration with the Creative Economy Agency (Public Organization) (CEA) and private sector industry partners, the event is being held from 20–22 July 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC), Bangkok. Designed as a key platform to propel Thailand's creative economy onto the global stage, TCM2026 connects content creators, producers, IP owners, investors, buyers, digital platforms, and business partners from around the world. The opening ceremony was attended by distinguished guests including Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of DITP, and Mrs. Pimjai Leeissaranukul, Board Member Acting as Chairperson of CEA. The event is expected to generate more than THB 2 billion in trade value.
Ms. Banjongjitt Angsusingh, Advisor to the Minister of Commerce, stated, "Thailand's creative economy contributes approximately 1.44 trillion Baht, or 43 billion US dollars, representing more than 8 percent of our national GDP. Our creative industries generate nearly 12 billion US dollars in export value annually and are supported by a talented workforce of almost one million professionals. More importantly, Thailand possesses a unique competitive advantage. We combine exceptional creative talent, internationally recognized production capabilities, rich cultural heritage, and a dynamic digital ecosystem.
“Today, Thai films, television series, animation, games, and digital content are reaching audiences around the world. Thailand has also emerged as a leading force in the rapidly growing BL and GL content markets, demonstrating our ability to create stories that resonate with global audiences. Recognizing this tremendous potential, the Royal Thai Government has identified the creative content economy as one of the key engines for future economic growth.
“This is precisely why Thailand Content Market was created by DITP, Ministry of Commerce together with CEA. For the first time, film, television, digital content, animation, games, character licensing, art toys, visual effects, post-production services, and related creative businesses are brought together under one roof, " she said.
Ms. Sunanta Kangvalkulkij, Director-General of DITP, added, "DITP's mission is to help Thai businesses expand into international markets. Over the years, we have supported entrepreneurs through international trade fairs, business networking, and market development programmes. Thailand Content Market 2026 is designed to showcase Thailand's creative capabilities directly to global buyers and investors while providing an efficient marketplace where business can happen immediately. We are confident that this event will further elevate Thailand's creators and creative businesses on the international stage."

Thailand Content Market 2026 is Thailand's first comprehensive marketplace covering the entire content value chain across 12 business sectors: Film, TV & Series, BL/GL, Production, Game, Animation, Character, Book & E-Learning, Art Toy, Toy, Board Game, and Content Services. The event reflects the diversity of Thailand's content and creative industries, from film, television, games, animation, and digital publishing to IP-driven businesses such as art toys, collectibles, board games, and creative support services.
The event features a comprehensive business programme designed to generate tangible commercial outcomes, including Bangkok International Digital Content Festival (BIDC), Bangkok International Content Market (BICM), Business Matching sessions, and Pitching programmes, where creators and entrepreneurs present their projects directly to international investors, buyers, and strategic partners. To date, more than 2,000 business meetings have already been confirmed, reflecting strong international interest in Thai creative content.
In addition to its business activities, TCM2026 offers seminars, workshops, networking events, and a public marketplace where visitors can discover Thai creative works and innovative products.
