Driving Safety Excellence for Thai Industries
Bangkok, 4 June 2025 – The second edition of CIOSH Thailand officially opens today at BITEC Bangkok, welcoming trade visitors and industry professionals from across the region. Running from 4 to 6 June 2025, the exhibition comes at a pivotal time for Thailand — with large-scale infrastructure development underway and workplace safety taking centre stage under the Ministry of Labour’s “Safety Thailand” programme.
Co-organised by Messe Düsseldorf Asia, Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai, and the China Textile Commerce Association (CTCA), CIOSH Thailand brings together 250 exhibitors showcasing a comprehensive range of personal protective equipment (PPE) and workplace safety solutions — all tailored to support Thailand’s rapidly evolving industrial landscape.
“I am honoured to open CIOSH Thailand 2025, a significant international platform that supports Thailand’s journey toward safer, healthier, and more resilient workplaces,” said Lt. Saroch Komkhaikham, Director-General of the Department of Labour Protection and Welfare, Ministry of Labour.
“Under the leadership of Minister Pipat Ratchakitprakarn, the Ministry of Labour has introduced a key policy initiative — ‘Creating a Culture of Safety – Safety Thailand.’ This initiative centres on legal enforcement, nationwide awareness, and strong public-private collaboration, with clear targets to reduce workplace accidents. Programmes such as the Special Task Force and the ‘5 Golden Rules’ of construction safety reflect the government’s proactive and results-driven approach.”
Events like CIOSH Thailand are crucial. They offer industry leaders not only access to cutting-edge personal protective equipment (PPE) but also opportunities for collaboration and knowledge exchange. By bringing together regulators, manufacturers, and users, we can collectively raise Thailand’s safety standards to global levels and create lasting improvements in workers’ quality of life.”
As Thailand advances infrastructure projects — from transportation and smart city initiatives to new industrial zones — risk mitigation and compliance are becoming national imperatives. CIOSH Thailand 2025 is uniquely positioned to support these efforts through a platform that combines product sourcing, expert training, and cross-sector dialogue.
Speaking on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Thailand, Ms. Zhang Xiaoxiao, Economic and Commercial Counsellor at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Thailand, congratulated the organizers of CIOSH Thailand 2025 and underlined the exhibition’s regional importance.
“Safety is the foundation that connects us, and innovation is the driving force for progress. I believe this exhibition will play an active role in advancing occupational safety and health standards across Asia,” Ms. Zhang said.
She also highlighted the alignment between China’s Belt and Road Initiative and Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC), noting their potential to strengthen industrial connectivity, promote workplace safety, and improve people’s well-being throughout the region.
“Thailand’s continued growth as an industrial and logistics hub requires not just infrastructure investment, but a parallel focus on creating safe, compliant, and future-ready workplaces,” said Mr Gernot Ringling, Managing Director, Messe Düsseldorf Asia. “CIOSH Thailand offers Thai companies and safety professionals the tools and connections to build that future — through high-quality PPE sourcing, expert insights, and collaborative learning.”
Representing Messe Düsseldorf’s global leadership, Mr Marius Berlemann, Chief Operating Officer, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH, added: “At Messe Düsseldorf, we are committed to creating platforms that serve both global and local industry needs. CIOSH Thailand reflects our ongoing investment in Southeast Asia — and in Thailand’s potential as a regional leader in workplace safety. As infrastructure and industrial development gather pace, we are proud to offer a space where the PPE ecosystem — from manufacturers to regulators — can meet, exchange ideas, and drive progress together.”
Expanding on the significance of the Southeast Asian market, Mr Lei Limin, Chairman, China Textile Commerce Association (CTCA), said: “Thailand plays a vital role in Asia’s industrial value chain, and as the CIOSH Shanghai portfolio casts its eyes on overseas markets – Thailand is a key country in the ‘21st Century Maritime Silk Road’ as it forms the first stop of CIOSH’s overseas development strategy.”
Thai-led Programme Addressing Industry-Specific Safety Challenges
CIOSH Thailand’s curated seminar programme, developed in collaboration with Thai safety associations, offers over 10 sessions tackling real-world safety issues — from factory hazards to procurement ethics and digital transformation.
“In today’s supply chain landscape, compliance is no longer a checkbox — it’s a competitive advantage,” said Mr. Akanit Smitabindu, President, Purchasing & Supply Chain Management Association of Thailand (PSCMT). “This seminar helps our members and the wider industry understand how to integrate ethical sourcing into procurement strategies while meeting global buyer expectations.”
The Safety Engineering Association leads a panel on Safety Problems in Factories, where industry leaders and regulators convene to explore solutions for persistent challenges in high-risk environments. “As urbanisation and industrial activity increase across Thailand, fire safety systems must evolve. Our workshop at CIOSH equips safety officers with hands-on training and regulatory know-how to build stronger emergency readiness,” said Mr. Ajarn Prasert Choompanya, from Chonburi Safety Officer Club (CSOC), speaker at the Fire Alarm Systems & Hazardous Chemical Safety Management session.
In response to Thailand’s growing chemical and urban safety needs, CSOC also hosts sessions on fire alarm systems and hazardous chemical safety. “As Thailand’s industrial footprint expands, so must our preparedness. Chemical safety management isn’t just about handling substances — it’s about protecting lives. This training at CIOSH Thailand offers a comprehensive approach to legal compliance, risk mitigation, and emergency response,” added Mr Ajarn Sawin Pongkao.
From equipment to empowerment: A platform for business and skills development
Hands-on workshops and live demonstrations are featured prominently, including Safety STOU’s training on working at heights and in confined spaces — critical areas for Thailand’s construction and logistics sectors. “Working in high-risk environments like work at heights and confined spaces requires more than PPE — it demands precision planning and risk assessment before the task, and a well-prepared emergency response plan offers practical, actionable guidance and hands-on training through simulated scenarios to elevate workplace safety standards to the next level,” said Mr. Chanvit Lerdlit, Chairman of Safety STOU - Working at Heights and in Confined Spaces.
In a session tailored for SMEs, digital marketing expert Mr Teeraphol Ambhai shares strategies for improving online visibility and customer outreach.
“For PPE and safety product suppliers, digital marketing is a game-changer,” said Mr Teeraphol. “This session gives Thai businesses real, actionable strategies to grow online and reach the right customers more effectively.”
CIOSH Thailand: Supporting a safer future for all
With over 3,000 trade visitors expected, the exhibition also features business matching, product demonstrations, and networking opportunities for Thai and international stakeholders across construction, manufacturing, logistics, and public services.
“Thailand is one of the most dynamic markets in Southeast Asia,” said a CTCA spokesperson. “By bringing the CIOSH series here, we aim to foster deeper cooperation between Thai and international safety communities — in sourcing, standard-setting, and workforce protection.”
CIOSH Thailand 2025 runs from 4 to 6 June 2025 at BITEC, Bangkok. Admission is free for trade professionals. Onsite registration is available.
